Big Shug – New Era (Prod. by Kid Called Quest)

New Big Shug produced by Kid Called Quest, need a new album by him asap… enjoy:

Happy B-Day Jay Dee!

New Unreleased Big L & O.C. Freestyle at Blackout Show (1997)

Who’s a hip hop junkie like me? (Clearly the whole hip hop world the day I posted that lol) It’s always cool to hear a new freestyle from my favorite mc. This one is recorded when Big L & O.C. visited Zagreb, Croatia in 1997. They visited the Blackout Show that was hosted by Phat Phillie. Word is that there is more material of that visit. Enjoy:

Shout out to zibla01 and my homie Phat Phillie who’s still running Croatia!

R.I.P. Big L, Legendary!

Here you have the lyrics

Roscoe P. Coldchain – Im’ma Kill This Nigga (Feat. AB Liva) [CDQ]

Mmmm..finally!! Time going fast, but now we have a NO DJ version. Rascoe is a crazy fella. Far far away from being fake. This joint is reality… It was recorded around 2004 but only saw the light of day throughout mixtapes. And 4 years later he was arrested for double murder. Before the arresting he was talking about doing more DJ Premier joints for his debut album as I remember. Life’s crazy… I doubt we’ll ever see another collabo. DJ Premier x Philadelphia connection, enjoy:

THAT SAMPLE!

H. Stax (of F.A.B.I.D.) – Get It In (Mixtape Rip) [FULL]

We could already hear a short snippet of this track back in 2006, when PF Cuttin’ played it. Now he played the full version on one of his new mixtapes. 5 year later… Enjoy:

This track stays a jewel. It suppose to be on F.A.B.I.D. album that never gotten released through the years, but I’ve heard H. Stax is currently back recording. He visited Marco Polo’s studio a couple of times. Hopefully we hear more about that in 2011… Btw, H. Stax is the guy who did one of the hardest freestyles over a DJ Premier beat ever.

Exclusive: DJ Premier – JJ Beat (Rejected Kanye West Beat) CDQ

What do we have here? Aaaaah yes, a beat specially made for Kanye West when he requested some for his “Dark Twisted Fantasy” album. Sad he never used is though… Later on it was also given to Bun B, but also he didn’t record on it… That’s the history behind it, now it’s known as the “JJ Beat”. Btw: another beat that Kanye West didn’t used went to Bumpy Knuckles for the collabo album “The Kolexion”. Masterpiece, listen up:

Now we can only hope Jay-Z pick some Premo beats for his collabo album!

EDIT: You have to know the beat was rejected because Kanye West changed the direction of his album… this was created when everybody thought he was going to make that “Boom Bap” album.

Reks – 25th Hour (Clean) CDQ

Instant buy when it coming to vinyl… now for all the DJs: here’s the clean version of Reks x DJ Premier collabo “25th Hour”. Play that street shit! First single from his upcoming album “R.E.K.S. (Rhythmatic Eternal King Supreme)“, available march 8th (i already know it’s going to be in my top 3 of 2011 lol). I’ve head the video will be dropping today or tomorrow… Check it out:

All the digital people can get this earlier (like always), you can buy the digi single here on iTunes for only $2.97. Support!

Reks – 25th Hour (Radio Rip)

the video was shot last week…

Here we have the highly anticipated follow up of “Say Goodnight“, the dopest beat of 2008 voted by you and yours. To be honest with you all, he’s one of my favorite rappers out today… I can’t wait to buy the new album, this should be also a 12″ as they shot the video last week!! The point is that I’m really want to know if he still can deliver as much as like “Grey Hairs”, the producers are DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Hi-Tek, Nottz, Sha Money XL, Sean C & LV, Statik Selektah, Fizzy Womack, Moss and more. This is the first single from that album “R.E.K.S (Rhythmatic Eternal King Supreme)” produced by our president DJ Premier, going gold very soon. Enjoy:

All those premieres we have from Premier this week… 2011 = good start. Ow yeah, almost forgot to mention. Premier made this beat on the spot when Termanology was getting his 2nd record from preem (So Amazing). Term ended up finding “So Amazing” beat (what a rejected Amerie beat was) and Premier gave this beat to Saigon who didn’t end up recording it…and now Reks got it.

Exclusive: New DJ Premier Beat “Dots” [CDQ]

A new Premo beat!! Some may already heard it on LiveFromHQ, but now we have it in CDQ. It’s featured on DJ Premier next instrumental LP “Beats That Collected Dust Vol. 2” (coming January 21, pre order here) but you can already hear it on the Def Jam Rapstar game whom Premo sold three beats to so you can freestyle over it, very fun game and it supports Preem so you should support it too haha. This is the extra DLC beat you can buy for 2 dollars… But I bring you the cdq:

DJ Premier – Dots [CDQ]

Damn, all those exclusives here this week… lets make some more shall we, not really DJ Premier directed but why not? Now that I’ve got my hands on it… And I’ve met Just Blaze before with Alchemist (thanks to Premo ofc), he looks to Premo the same way like I do lol. Here’s the Just Blaze beat he sold Def Jam Rapstar called “8 Bit”, Jay Z rejected! (nah nah, just kidding (I think)):

Just Blaze – 8 Bit [CDQ]

And for the commercial dudes under us, the beat Cool & Dre sold to Def Jam Rapstar named “Public Enemy”, can you hear The Game or Ja Rule on it? Fck Yeah! Enjoy:

Cool & Dre – Public Enemy [CDQ]

And just to let you know, in the game you have more unreleased goodies by 9th Wonder… Support!

Jeru the Damaja – Hot 97 Promo (Radio Rip) (10 Crack Commandments Original)

More ULTRA rare shit. Never ripped before, 90s jewel… Rumors say this turned on the beef between Gang Starr & Jeru the Damaja, but that’s false. Here’s DJ Premier explaining what’s behind the “10 Crack Commandments” beat…

That was actually a promo that me and Jeru did for Angie Martinez on Hot 97. Back then she did a show called the “Hot 5 at 9″ where she would play the top 5 records at 9 o’clock. If you listen to the scratches, before I added “ten” later on when Biggie got it, I just keep going to five right after the beat drops because it was for the top 5 at 9. Puffy was guest hosting the show and when he heard the promo he was like “what the hell, who did this?” and Angie told him I did it. So he goes live on the radio like “yo Premier, if you’re out there, call me.” One of my homeboys paged me and told me that Puffy was on the radio telling me to call him. I turn on Hot 97 and right before I was about to turn the dial off, I hear “Premier, Premier, please call me if you hear me on the radio.” He told me he wanted to buy the promo. I told Jeru and he was like “yo, it’s hip hop. No big deal.” So I sold it to him and Biggie already had a concept, he wanted to call it “Ten Crack Commandments.” I took the “Ten” from a spaceship count down when they go “ten, nine, eight, seven…” And Biggie just rapped over it right there.

THE MYTH IS OVER: Madonna – Don’t Tell Me (DJ Premier Unreleased Break Mix) (Radio Rip)

Another DJ Premier myth is totally vanished folks!! First we had the Nas Is Like sample myth cleared, now this “Don’t Tell Me” by Madonna remixed by DJ Premier is revealed…

Here’s a short timeline for y’all;

– First we had the countless rumors of DJ Premier remix a Madonna song. Some said it was the track “Don’t Tell Me”.
– Then we had some people claiming they had it… Fake…
– Then we had this message from a German Madonna fan site that the Don’t Tell Me Remix by DJ Premier will be pressed on a colored wax in Germany…
– Finally I could ask Premier himself if it’s true about the “Don’t Tell Me” remix. His reply was that there are 2 versions remixed by him send to Madonna. But she didn’t liked it so it never saw the light of day.
– Now we have DJ Premier spinning one version of it…

Enjoy my friends, DJ Premier = GOAT once again:

Pfff… this is my first love to do this blog 😀 I CAN FEEL THAT BASSLINE. Shout out to D-Stroy and Crazy Legs too!

So it does exists… Hmmm. CDQ prolly never coming out though, I remember him saying he doesn’t have the rights to release the vocals. Maybe Timbaland can ask Madonna, or Pharell.
