DJ Premier track spotted on Deluxe Edition of Miguel’s “Wildheart” Album

WILDHEART is the upcoming third studio album by American recording artist Miguel. It’s scheduled to be released on June 30, 2015 via ByStorm Entertainment and RCA Records. The album is the follow-up to his 2012 second album, Kaleidoscope Dream.

Back in April 2014 we posted the news that they worked together.
In May this year Miguel said the song didn’t make the album but now it looks like the track “Damned” will be released on the Deluxe Edition of the album.

DJ Premier and His Live Band Announce European Tour

DJ Premier will be heading out on the road for a tour alongside his newly-formed band. During the month of September, DJ Premier and his live band will make 15 stops across Europe. Their first stop will be Sept. 2 in Leipzig, Germany, wrapping up Sept. 19 in Mannheim, Germany.

Earlier this year, Preemo made a drastic change when the iconic D&D Studios on 320 West 37th Street closed down. He later moved to Queens to set up the new HeadQcourterz and announced the formation of the five-piece band. The band consists of Brady Watt on bass, Lenny “The Ox” Reece on drums, Takuya Kuroda handling the horn and keys, Mark Williams on the trombone and keys as well, with Preemo taking over the turntables. Soon after the announcement, the crew started playing together and hit Japan for their debut. Now that they’ve been grooving together for a few months, it’s time to take the show back on the road.

“When we put the band together, the key to any relationship is that you vibe together in a way that you can make magic happen,” he said. “That’s what happened with me and Guru, that’s what must continue with anybody I connect with.”

In addition to touring this fall, Preemo is still working in the studio. The legendary DJ will be producing Eiht’s Which Way Iz West LP in its entirety. He’s also working on music for Miguel, PRhyme and Ed Sheeran and most recently landed a VH-1 original movie, The Breaks.
