Sick beat, the best I’ve heard outta Pete Rock in a long while. Torae may have one of the better albums of the year…

imitation boom bap. Weak mc, weak beat from a legend who’s, in brutal honesty, not hitting it anymore.

I’m not saying Pete should retire but if he cant come with dopeness, at least once in a while, it’s time to hang it up.

Every legend eventually ‘falls off’. We thank you for the legacy. Don’t shit on it by releasing a ton of mediocre shit.

I like the beat, but I’m not doing a backflip over it. After that awful album he did with Smif n Wessun(IMHO), I don’t really expect too much from Pete Rock anymore.

I like the beat by Pete Rock. It’s not dope but it’s good. Digg the xelephone sample.

Torae needs to step up his game BIG TIME with this lineup of ill producers. Dude is average at best. This is a dope beat but maybe if you put it 45 so I could dance to it…? ha ha With that said I’m still checking for that album when it drops.

So sad to see new kids who no nothing about Pete Rock and what he has done and still dose for what we call real hip hop! Rapping as Krs1 said is something that we do every day but hip hop is a way of life! Don’t take this new way of making music for real hip hop because its not. Pete Rock one of the best to ever do it.

    loving that true hip hop

Shit is nice…I agree, I was waiting for boy wonder to drop jewels at the end…I guess everyone’s entitled to their opinion…with that in mind those that don’t like it obviously don’t appreciate or recognize real hip hop…it’s still alive yall.
