The 2010 BET Hip Hop Awards were recorded tonight in Atlanta, where the show will be televised nationally on October 12th at 8pm EST.
BET released 2 internet only cyphers that included DJ Premier, Vado, Fonzworth Bentley & Rey Chesta along with Nick Javas, Reena Major & Laws.
Sunkiss learned us he recorded a new song with DJ Premier some weeks ago. It’s featured Fred the Godson. No release date was given by the East Coast OGs.
Other unreleased DJ Premier singles we know of are from Q tha Legend (Def Jam), DMC (of Run-DMC) and Money B (of Digital Underground), Wais P (Da Ranjahz).
Also the upcoming BET Awards will include a Guru tribute with Big Shug, Guru’s Son and Guru’s nephew in the audience. And yes, there’s a cypher with Kanye West and DJ Premier.
